From San Francisco they come, novelists Dodie Bellamy and Kevin Killian, making their first appearance at PARTICIPANT INC and giving talks based on their confused and bewildered forays into the art world. Dodie Bellamy, author of The TV Sutras, Cunt Norton, and When the Sick Rule the World, will present a diaristic response to the late Ellen Cantor’s diaristic drawing sequence, Cinderella Syndrome. Kevin Killian will show a variety of his photographs from TAGGED, in which a variety of poets and artists, nearly all of them guys, nearly all of them naked or nearly so, cover their junk with a life-size Raymond Pettibon drawing of a cock and balls in an attempt to destroy the mysteries of manhood from within, accompanied by a poetic narration.
